As a recent graduate of Calvin University, Emerson entered into the job market during significant uncertainty. He currently works as State Senator Mark Huizenga’s Legislative Director in Michigan’s capitol of Lansing.

Throughout his senior year at Calvin University, Emerson served his peers as the Student Body President. His administration worked on significant initiatives to improve transparency and advocate for student interests despite the unexpectedness of COVID-19.
